I want to begin by highlighting how truly remarkable this restaurant is. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff has an impressive knowledge of the history behind each dish and the culture of South African cuisine. The flavors in the dishes are outstanding. This is definitely a refreshing dining experience for The Woodlands.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and it was our first time here. Upon arrival, we were greeted with complimentary champagne from Steve. The restaurant was taking social distancing and safety precautions very seriously, including temperature checks. Please note that the mall entrance is closed, so you can only enter from the patio side. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, professional, and patient. He recommended everything we ordered, and he certainly didn’t steer us wrong. The food was excellent! I especially loved the shrimp skewer, and the lobster mac and cheese is a must-try.

Peli Peli was a pleasant surprise. Typically, I don't think much about mall restaurants or South African cuisine, but this experience changed my perspective. We started with the South African Sampler, which was a great way to explore the various offerings. The stuffed cherry peppers were a delightful introduction to our main courses. For our entrees, we tried a couple of chicken dishes: Chicken Espetada, Durban Butter Chicken, and Peli Peli Curried Chicken. Each dish was tender and juicy, with sauces that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavors. The Espetada was served as a skewer alongside roasted potatoes, carrots, and a side of rice.

I really love this place. The food is an extreme variety of exotic and delicious plates with sizable portions that will leave you feeling satisfied. I have been here several times and never have had a bad experience. The wait staff it's super courteous and very good at their jobs and the food is consistently great. I highly recommend this place.

Want your taste buds to explode with flavors like never before then experience Peli Peli. A taste from home for me. Everything was delicious . Can’t wait to go again. The prices are very reasonable .
