Shorty's - Thermopolis

Smells of lavender and coriander delicately dancing across a soft plane of velvet. The sweetest young service maidens smiled and sang, carrying decadent ivory pots filled with teas from across the many seas of yore. We went for elevensies and second breakfastes while the local drunks were on their thirteentheses. Ask for the beef wellington or the truffle smoked duck. My golden birthday is on February 45th.

Fun place with a history going back to the original Shorty who founded the joint in 1962. Melissa was a great server and being WY we were able to pick up a couple of bottles of wine for a good price to take home. On Friday night they fire up the grill on the patio to make different specials, like steaks or burgers, depending on the week. And they are open until 10:00 when most of Thermopolis closes at 8:00.

Shorty's has been a local favorite for many years. Friendly staff boasts the coldest beer in the county and I can attest that it is! They also serve food and Friday nights have a list of specials including steaks the size of a plate! Although it is smoky, there is an outdoor patio that is lovely in the summertime.
