Carolyn Beach Inn - Thessalon

This is one of our go-to spots whenever we travel from the east coast. The owners are exceptionally friendly, and the rooms are spotless. The food is absolutely delicious; I highly recommend the fish and chips—they're the best I've ever had! The location is also a major highlight, as the view from the room is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend this place!

This restaurant is a lovely spot that’s conveniently located just off the highway, yet still boasts a beautiful view of the water. We stayed for one night and enjoyed a delightful dinner that was excellent. Although the TV in our room wasn't working, the owner was incredibly apologetic and went above and beyond to resolve the issue for us. The rooms were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended!

This restaurant has a fantastic location right off Hwy 17 in North Huron Shores. The room was spotless and nicely decorated, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The owner provided us with warm and friendly service upon arrival. We ordered dinner from the menu, and the spinach dip with warm Naan bread was amazing, as well as the Caroline Burger—highly recommend both! Having a pet-friendly room was essential for us. We also enjoyed breathtaking views from the room, especially the stunning sunset. Overall, I give it a full 5 STARS!

Here on the way to Algonquin for just one night. The check-in was easy and the owner was friendly and helpful. At first glance it did not seem so much, but the bed was very comfortable. It slept two big adults well! The best part was the ability to have a fire on the beach. We saw a breathtaking sunset and roasted hot dogs until the bugs came out. A great experience and stay!

Clean and comfortable room with a beautiful view of the lake. Affordable and friendly, just off the highway but felt very calm and quiet. Perfect stop on our roadtrip west. We had dinner at the restaurant, and it was excellent. Highly recommend for an overnight stop!
