Good hotel, 30 rupees charging for meals, fish fry for 20 rupees, if you have 50 rupees you can have good lunch in 50 rupees.location at pravachambalam.
It is a budget friendly restaurant, mostly helping the common people by providing food at lowest rates. Entrance to the restaurant is on the higher side (because of the new highway) and there's steps on both sides. It will be mostly a crowded place. And if you are someone who gives much more importance to hygiene, then you might be disappointed. Food is served in banana leaves (hope they haven't changed it to paper plates or anything recently). And once you finished eating, you would have to take the banana leaf with the food waste (of yours) to the waste bin near the washing area. There's no family room or anything. So, if you are bringing your family, keep in mind that, if it is crowded, some stranger might take the seat near or in front of you, in the same table. As many of the common people depends on this restaurant for food, sometimes you might find someone sitting in front of you who might be a senior citizen, or maybe a drunk person or anyone. So you should keep these things in your mind when you visit, otherwise you might be surprised. And regarding the food, the taste and quality is average and sometimes it would be a mixed opinion. But the catchy thing is the price! If I remember correctly, the price for meals with fish is around Rs. 60 or something. The owner (middle aged person) would be friendly. Btw, they have both veg and nonveg items. And parking would be a serious issue. Because right in front of the restaurant (in the highway), it is the parking area for autorickshaws(their stand). If you are in a four-wheeler, and you try to park in their spots, you might get scolding from the autorickshaw guys. Most probably you would find a parking spot after 100 or 200 meters, where you can park safely on the highway.
