Rooms and hotel are clean! Mike is a wealth of knowledge regarding the inns history and interesting spots to visit around the area. Mike puts on a great continental breakfast! I will definitely stop on my next trip. Also, don't miss visiting with Archie. 11 out of 10. On our trip from Edmonton to Vancouver, this was by far the best place we stayed (4 total)
Stopped for a refreshing moment but was met at the door be back in 5 mins. Unfortunately it must have been Mexican minutes. Waited too long, very hot. So we road towards Merritt & stopped at The Monkey Garden & Bistro. Had homemade, home grown soup & cold coffee Latte's. Great farm & great people living off the land.
A rare find for good vegetarian food. Fresh bake bread daily.Provide a great view of the Thomson River and the valley. Quiet clean room when the train is not passing by. Great for young children who love to watch choo choo. There might be four trains passing by thr the night that u may feel the vibration in your room.
This is, by BC standards, a very old building. The restaurant is neat and affords a view of the Thompson river rolling by. Prompt, friendly service by the propritor. Tidy washroom. This location is one end of a very scenic, winding drive to Merrit, BC. Prospective visitors should note: this ain't Manhattan. Worth a visit.
I accidentally came across the Inn at Spencer Bridge on my way home from Kamloops. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly faces that welcomed me. I was provided a beautiful large room with beautiful views of the mountains, the river and the trains! The bed was comfortable and the free breakfast in the morning was delicious! I returned about a month later for a 5-day stay for business because of my previous experience. The owners, Dorothy and Mike go beyond and beyond to make sure their guests have a pleasant trip. The terrace, full of beautiful flowers and located on a bench overlooking the river, mountains and trains is an excellent place to relax and in the beauty surrounding you in the canyon. The historic Inn offers a look back into history with unique objects that are carefully cured. I'm looking forward to my next stay.
