I am a local resident and I absolutely love the crumbed calamari at this restaurant. I usually order takeout because I live nearby, but the beautiful beach view is worth dining in for. The service is great and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The prices are affordable, with meals costing between A$1-20 per person. The food quality is a 4 out of 5, as is the service. The atmosphere by the beach is a definite 5 out of 5. I especially recommend trying the Fisherman's Basket.

The grilled fish was wrapped in foil and cooked, essentially steamed, and was not good. The salad was supposed to be a green salad with lettuce, beetroot, and such, but was instead a warm, bitter, very old coleslaw. The veggie burger was mostly bread and came with the same coleslaw instead of the green salad we asked for. The portions of chips were tiny. We felt like we only received about $10 worth of terrible food for our $50 plus dollars. We ordered and paid for drinks with our meal, only to be told that the drinks we wanted were not available. We were given cheaper drinks with no refund of the price difference. We gave the restaurant 3 stars for atmosphere since we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the view. Overall, I would recommend avoiding this place.

You should definitely try the burger called The Lot at this restaurant, it's fantastic. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks with a rating of 5.
