Contribuisci feedbackThe food was good, the service fine and the place comfortable ..... but even if none of these things were true the fact that this is about the only restaurant in the neighbourhood which serves food on Sundays makes it a must!
The new owners have refreshed the place. The staff ( many who have worked here for 20 years) are rejuvenated and the steaks and burgers are much better. Nice place, good meat and tasty deserts. A nice evening out!
Went here based on a recommendation of the hotel owner in Geneva and was definitely not disappointed.The restaurant is pretty big with several areas which does not make it look big. It has an open kitchen close to the entrance so you straight away get a good impression of a clean kitchen.The menu looks nice and interesting however I chose a burger as it was already a bit late and did not feel like eating a lot of meat. My burger was very well prepared, precisely as ordered (medium). The bread was a bit roasted and the sauce was very nice.The service as nice and friendly.Definitely a place I will visit again during my travels to Geneva as the menu has some interesting meat dishes that I would like to try.
I used to go to this place quite often some 30 years ago, but haven't been back as it is no longer on my beaten track. Today was the 1st time back there for a lunch with a friend. The food was very good. The beef burgers served to a nearby table looked absolutely fantastic.Staff were friendly but lack a bit in experience.The decor is average. The "new" section lacks atmosphere.But the food outweighs the few downsides.
This is an overlooked establishment right in the heart of Champel, not far from the Claparède TPG stop. It is quite expensive but offers beautiful meat sourced from the Boucherie du Molard located in the rue du marché and an institution in this town.The service is from a bygone era and you can feel the push to make you order more drinks which can get a little annoying. But then again given the emptiness of the place most nights you have to empathise with the waiters who are just trying to survive I guess.The renovated side of the restaurant was a huge mistake as it makes it look cheap and uninviting. They need a troubleshooter to step in and rethink the whole concept before they end up in the dustbin of history which would be a shame.
