Dhanalakshmi Bakery

Visited for macaroon, also discovered freshly baked coconut buns the bun was so soft highly recommended trying it. Macaroon was also great, no hint of egg smell and loaded with cashew nuts.

This is one of the oldest Bakeries in Thoothukudi serving the best Macroons and plum cakes. Don't be bothered by the simple outlook of the shop. The food items sold out here are really good.

Earlier it might have had good name but this time when I bought banana cake home it was completely stale and full of foul smell. Because the cake was wrapped in a paper, we didn't know that it has fungus. Also the butter biscuits bought on the same day had fungus on it the very next day itself. The shop shouldn't be selling old products and cheating on its customers like this.

We came here to buy macarons, it's very unique in taste and fresh. A very famous bakery in this area, there was a crowd in the evening to buy fresh buns, bread and macarons.

Good old bakery at Tuty!! Their cakes and macrons are very famous here. Although many other modern bakers have come up in the city, places like Dhanalakshmi bakery still manage to attract customers. During Christmas/New year Eve you can't go anywhere near the place, it's very very busy. In summary this place is known for its plum cake (during Christmas season) and macrons, it still is one of the best places to buy these stuff at Tuty!!
