We had 11 adults plus 4 kids squeezed around a table. Ordered winter melon soup in advance which tasted good. Other dishes were a la carte, including mushroom beef, fish filet with snow peas, shrimps, scallops squid with snow peas, all good, roast chicken, sweet sour pork and beef noodles so-so, but BBQ ribs very good. Dessert was red bean soup, lotus paste buns, and cookies/pudding. Works out to about $30/person, a bit higher than average. Overall good.
I have to admit the prices have gone up too high after the renovations but the reality is the restaurant was still packed. That's because this is excellent dim sum. $80 for 2 no alcohol
We visited this restaurant yesterday evening and also on September 19 with my eldest sister from USA. Very bad feeling, Bad taste of foods, Bad service, Completely difference from all previous experience. We special ordered the lobster dish with 3 others. Restaurant provides soup, sweet desert and a small plate of BBQ pork and roasted duck free of charge. BBQ pork, Roasted duck are O.K. Soup, sweet desert, all other 3 dishes are all bad and with heavy MSG. Lobster dish terrible bad, we suspect the restaurant re-cook it from the previous bad order. The lobster is not the fresh one they show us. $26.99 per lb. It is 1.9 lbs This costs us $51.28. The lobster is not fresh, cold, tasteless, not 1.9 lbs. We try to return the dish but restaurant refuses return, refund, nor replace. Very, very unhappy, especially my 85 age mother. The restaurant is cheating us and the senior. This dish is completely unhealthy and terrible. Never revisit this restaurant.
I normally enjoy authentic Chinese food. So when I drove by and saw the outdoor sign, I thought great! I'll go there for lunch. The inside is very nicely decorated with nice table cloth and flat wear. The staff, true to their typically chinese personalities, have litte or no warmth. The really hard thing they need to address is there menu. It is the hardest thing to understand. Not user friendly and I ended up ordering a few things I would not have ordered. They really need to address this. Worst menu presentation I've ever seen. The wonton soup was delicious. I had some dumplings and two other dishes which I tasted and did not finish. Terrible. Also when they bring you the dishes, they just drop it off on the table and leave. No explanation or comments. It was also expensive. Only afterwards was I shown the lunch menu. Seems to me that should have been the first menu you present at lunch time. So, bottom line: They need to fix the menu so average non-asian first time customers will not feel lost or intimidated and get more customer service training. I will not be going back for sure.
