Went to the Red Lion for the first time today for lunch. Good choice of food on the menu. Our food was excellent both starter and main course, well cooked and delicious. Very good value for money. My only criticism was that the service was very slow considering that there were only three covers. Although slow the staff were very pleasant. It was so unusual to be advised as soon as we sat down that one of the starters was unavailable, normally one only gets told when you order the item. Full marks!! Ordered a take-away Roast as im 3 weeks post surgery and didn’t feel like cooking. Well!!!! If THIS is the food you get from them, boxed and delivered I cannot wait to be well enough to visit in person!! Well worth the cost, delicious and extremely generous portions.
