La Terrasse - Thouars

I have been here several times and it has been lovely. The food is great and nearly everything is homemade! I must say, the burgers are delicious, and the chips are fresh too. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

This must take the prize for the worst restaurant in Deux Sevres. If I could have given it NO stars then I would have. First of all they couldn't make a Croque without lardons, so we ordered 2 vegetarian salads and steak and chips, 50cl rose and a Coca Cola. The vegetarian salads consisted of a bowl of lettuce, one chopped up tomato and a handful of tinned sweet corn (7 euros each)The cola was warm. The steak despite being ordered "a point" arrived grossly over cooked and the chips must have been cooked at 09.00h and refried countless times. The waitress look embarrassed when I complained but said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to the manager who I knows speaks English well. He eventually turned up at the table and said there was nothing wrong with the meal. I asked for a reduction in the cost, but he refused and condescendingly wished me "have a nice day madam!!"In the 9 years I've lived in France I've never had a worse meal or such appalling service
