Green leaf salad from packet, cold tasteless boiled chicken breast, that with mustard dressing. Bacon was tasty but also cold. The chips were very nice. Great idea to have Yorkshire pudding wraps, however again very little seasoned. Chicken burger was dry and bun cold. Nice selections of beers. Toilets very narrow. Baby changing in one of woman toilets tiny and over the toilet!
What’s happened? Used to be an amazing pub with great service and fabulous food. However, upon our visit on Saturday the service was shocking from start to finish, (young lady with brown hair was trying her best). The most rubbery calamari and worst fish and chips ive ever had, lots of frozen food being heated up I predict. Pork belly was 80% fat, missed off half our drinks as simply were too unorganised to realise. Sat in one of the outdoor pods, but we were just forgotten. Will not be returning and do not recommend anyone to go unless these issues are addressed.
Went to Motown night at the pub with friends, it was packed and had a great atmosphere. We had a few drinks, snacks and sang and danced the night away...well done Black Horse! More please!
Really lovely pub, great location. The menus on the dirty, scrunched up bits of A4 paper aren’t the same as the menu online. The actual menu is a lot more basic. The food is average at best, the staff need a lot of training and I wish I’d read the recent reviews before wasting money on an expensive lunch.
This an absolutely fantastic place in my local village. Food and atmosphere super. Have been a few times now on a Friday night when there live music. We always have the Indian Menu.
