Unfortunately after its passing the food quality has taken a big bath and the restaurant was only run by its business partner when ling ran...it could easily say that its eating was phenomenal, the best worth in the city. Not only a fine cook but a friendly and personable guy with his business partner are the dinge very different. my midday bear respectfully brought to attention a hair in the food he had eaten. the owner reacted by being rude and angry, I am disgusting to think that someone who could be so crassed and really horrible of a person actually had a part in the local police. one of the bitterest waitresses I've ever known worked here. good food and service especially the owner. I feel sick, just thinking about this place.
We have not eaten ling lees since the healing ended with the beginning of the covid 19 lock. we ordered our favorite meal for 2 that is dai jup woey and it tastes even better than before! the garnels were delicious, and the pork and bark meat as well as the Chinese greens were plentiful and tender. the chicken balls were huge and mostly chicken meat and the obtained tons were very simple. I can't say enough good things and will summarize this with we loved it thank you, noreen!
Ling lees is the only restaurant in thunder bay that we trust to safely treat all food restrictions and allergies of my daughter. they never make us feel that we are inconvenient or angry. they are very friendly and eating is amazing. 100 .% for each
We recently tried the buffet lunch at this restaurant and were impressed by the fast and friendly service. The salads and buffet items were fresh and delicious. As someone from London, Ontario who has been on the lookout for a good Chinese buffet for years, I was thrilled to discover Ling Lee's Restaurant. The variety of dishes reminded me of the buffets I used to enjoy back in London. Even my partner, who doesn't dine out often, was impressed by the quality and selection of food available. We will definitely be returning to this place for more tasty Chinese dishes in the future.
I have been to the buffet lunch at this restaurant three times and each time I have been disappointed. A buffet is a great opportunity for a restaurant to showcase their best dishes, but this buffet fell short. Half of the buffet was salad bar, which was fine, but the hot food options were underwhelming. The main dishes included perogies, plain fried rice, won tons filled with spinach, sweet and sour chicken balls, and lo mein noodles without meat. I was disappointed to find no egg rolls or soup options. After three tries, I have decided not to return and would not recommend this restaurant to others.
