Mama Alfa's Pizzeria Inc - Thunder Bay

We were passing through the area and found this on the the web- Pizza was great and we pick up a few bonus bakery items from the co-located coffee shop. The pizza had plenty of cheese and the mix of toppings were great.

This place was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. We called ahead as there is not many tables in the restaurant and they saved us a table. When we came in, there was a place setting waiting for us. The waitress was friendly and it immediately made us feel at home. She recommended the ceaser salad, as it is very good. We ordered and it was the best ceaser salad we’ve ever had. My husband ordered a pizza, which comes in a variety of sizes, depending on the crowd you’re feeding. I ordered the lasagna but she notified us right away that it would take longer because it needed to be baked so I chose to order spaghetti and meatballs (my first choice anyway). My order came with 2 pieces of garlic cheese bread. The pizza came piping hot. My spaghetti and meatballs were also fresh and hot. The noodles were homemade pasta and the sauce was delicious as were the 2 large meatballs. The pizza was a thin crust meat lovers that was quite delicious. This place is a hidden gem and I would recommend to anyone visiting the Thunder Bay area

We ordered the deluxe pizza tonight. Fully loaded with all the best toppings. It was absolutely amazing just like how Mam Alfa would make. I haven’t had since the restaurant was sold. It is exactly like the original. I won’t order anywhere else. Best pizza in town.

Cheap ,horrible toppings right down to the cheese.i felt like i bought my pizza from No Frills.Overpriced garbage quality.An absolute disgrace.Very disappointed as this used to be of quality.

When talking about Mama Alfas restaurant pizza always comes to the forfront but I'm here to tell you that their Panzzaroti is second to no ones! the staff the ambience is their to ensure that you get to enjoy the food and not be distracted by other things!! I under stand that since my last visit Mama Alfa has passed,my condolences and I hope that there are people in place to carry on-if there is do yourselves a favour and pay a visit to this fine establishment.
