Sweet G's Family Restaurant

This family-owned restaurant offers exceptional service and serves a delicious breakfast. Although they have a variety of menu options, breakfast is our favorite meal to enjoy at this establishment.

We went out for dinner and my husband ordered the fish and chips. It was the first time we had ever been served Captain Highliner fish and we were very disappointed.

The breakfast food at this restaurant is excellent! It's a great place to have a local, non-franchise breakfast in the morning. The pancakes and skillet breakfast are especially delicious.

Stopped for lunch while in the area. We both ordered hamburger and onion rings. Both were good and served hot. Good service and home cooked food. Nothing fancy so if that's what you want, drive by. If you want some good home cooked food, stop in.

On our trip west we came across Sweet G's while staying nearby! We had a great breakfast 2 weeks ago and learned they also rent cabins! Let my number and that afternoon Gord called! Cabin booked! The stay to explore Thunder Bay was great! We stayed to nights! The cabin rental of $60 includes an amazing breakfast for both staying! Excellent Finnish Pancakes, served with crisp bacon side and coffee! They were delightful! One evening I had locally made pirogies, and a salad! They were great! My husband had the halibut and mashed potatoes! Last Night, Friday we had the fresh local pickerel dinner, with coleslaw, fries or mashed potatoes! It was a great deal at $15.95 and was very filling! The pan fried pickerel was lightly seasoned and the deep fried was lightly battered! Also tried a lot cal beer from the north, Kenora Brewing Sultana Gold! The restaurant is always full! Excellent staff, pleasant and helpful! Giselaine and Gord are lovely as is their daughter and niece who work with them! They do a super job! They have a huge menu, with all day breakfasts, lovely home made pies, tarts, cinnamon buns, cookies and more! Great for all and a great place to stay!EXCELLENT
