Not particularly good value for money although the portions were pretty generous. Presentation was sadly lacking though, both our dishes were served with the meat part on the bottom of the plate and then the chips literally dumped on the top with no thought to how it looked. My wife’s dish which was goat stew had quite a good flavour but was Luke warm and the chips just became bogged down in the gravy. Mine was quite tasty but basically a plate of chopped meat with a pile of chips on the top. Water was a sensible price at 1 euro a bottle. Don’t think we would go back there are a lot of other options in Tias.
Popped in here a fee tones for a nightcap and one night Marco gave us a taste of his tuna tapas, it was so good we returned the following night for the full meal. Even though there is a language barrier he and his wife are so welcoming and friendly and you leave feeling as though you have been with friends. Started with incredable fish croquettes to share then I had the tuna which had been marinated....truly amazing Mr G went for a meat stew not sure if the meat he said it was great. Both were around 8euros but so much food we took it to go and had another large lunch the next day. Worth stopping by either for a drink or food. Dont let the roadside environment put you off, pull up a chair and enjoy the local atmosphere alongside good food and drink caution...very large measures!!
We popped in for a glass of wine as we were checking out the various bars and restaurants in Tias. This was not only the worst wine by a LONG way but also the most expensive. So I'd try La Ermita, Taberna Iguaden or Millo y Millo and you won't be disappointed. But don't bother with Ca Marcos
Walking up the Avenida Central in Tias we were drawn to the Ca' Marcos. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a reasonably priced bar restaurant and we were not disappointed. Excellent service, food and atmosphere and a good spot on one of the outside tables for a bit of people watching.
We first went here for the Tapas week in Tias. Excellent simple and tasty tapas. Very reasonably priced drinks and complementary tapas (or you can order from the fresh ones they have on their daily menu). Always friendly service. Great Russian salad, olives and cheese. Really rate this place.
