Called in today for a mid afternoon snack when the place was relatively quite, again service food no complaints. However, the place was not clean. I know it's meant to be a bit rustic, but really and truly it would benefit from a deep clean and maybe some new tables chairs for outside.
My family and I recently visited The Auld Triangle to watch the Celtic match and to enjoy some drinks and food. It was packed inside due to half of the pub remaining closed due to staffing issues. The food was delicious. We were there for four hours. Bought loads of pints, orders of chicken wings, and three dinners which we ate outside at one of the tables in the courtyard. I had already enough heavy food for the week so I ducked in nearby to a Japanese restaraunt and ordered some takeaway. Then the problem ensued. I was informed that after spending all afternoon in and spending a considerable sum of money in their establishment, I would immediately have to remove my takeaway meal from their outside table as it was not purchased there. In my opinion As I was sitting at a table in the courtyard with my wife and still had a full beer...your man should have left me alone Yes, I then got thick with the lad for which I apologize. Would I go back...of course...I am a Celt.
Visited this bar twice after walking to the end of the beach to watch planes landing. First time we had a couple of beers second time we had the beef and guiness pie it was a lovely meal my hubby is still on about it now it was that nice!
Great time here We were staying at a hotel near here and decided to visit here. Best decision ever made because as soon as we arrived here the welcome was brilliant by Dave. He gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We had 2 pints of the tropical beer which was lovely. Now to the food well it was so good that we ended up visiting another 2 times. The fish and chips were amazing with a huge fish which Ste ate the lot of and the steak was lovely with skin on chips and peppercorn sauce. We had the Sunday lunch which was perfect with all the items cooked beautifully and the gravy had a lovely peppery taste to it absolutely lovely. Thanks to Dave and Marie and all of his staff for their great friendly service see you in December. From Caroline (Galway Dad) and Steve x
You just feel at home here! Staff are always smiling and happy to serve you. So far I have tried the fresh vegetable soup and the beef and Guinness pie and both have been excellent, happy to work my way through the menu in the week I have left. Highly recommend
