Currently, it doesn't live up to its name, Moon Rock Cafe. The tables are plain and resemble a basic cafeteria. The waitress mentioned that the new owner plans to give the place a makeover, which I hope comes to fruition soon. Despite the need for improvements, it is still a worthwhile stop for a meal.
The food was decent, a bit heavy, but the milkshakes were huge! It was pretty much what you would anticipate for a restaurant located slightly out of the way.
If you're visiting the CSIRO - Tidbinbilla Canberra Deep Space Centre, there is a cafe located inside. Located 24km away from its nearest competitor, the cafe is able to charge higher prices. After visiting the museum, we stopped for a late lunch consisting of basic items like coffee, soup of the day, and a BLT. The staff were friendly, but the soup could have been warmer when it arrived at our table. Overall, the food and coffee were decent but nothing extraordinary. Keep in mind that prices may be slightly higher, especially since it was a Sunday.
The food is basic although very tasty and good serving size. The food is overpriced due to it being in the middle of nowhere (no other cafes for 30km).
