3 adults and one child ate at the restaurant this evening. Food was quite good but service haphazard. Most bizarre was when my wife ordered a second glass of rose, it did not arrive, having asked again she was eventually told that rose had run out! She was offered a kir instead which she declined, this was at the end of the meal. How can a restaurant not be able to supply a glass of wine, and not offer a reasonable alternative. When the bill arrived it was wrong as it included 2 glasses of wine. This may all seem rather trivial but it was irritating and certainly took the edge off the evening and which was expensive.
We returned to La Table en Montagne for old times' sake, having eaten there on several occasions in the past. Having ascertained that allergies (and aversions) would be taken into account we opted for the 'chef's choice' menu at 59 EUR and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the dishes offered. The personnel were welcoming and attentive, and the meal was served without delay. The room is calm and spacious, enabling our group of five to talk without raising our voices. Extensive, and expensive, wine list, but good value overall.
This is definitely the most charming alpine restaurant in Tignes. The menu is filled with interesting dishes that never fail to impress with their taste and how they are presented. The Rosé Moët cocktail is amongst the best I ever drank. The only issue was the slightly unenthusiastic service.Overall, a great place for a fancy après-ski.
Overall, very nice experience starting from the booking, through to the warm welcome when we arrived to the look and taste of the food. All in a very creative, inspired by luxurious mountain chalet and nature ambiance. the real highlights are their desserts. simply great. Now, one watch out are the prices, though going to such place you should expect to pay premium.
