I honestly think they would do better if they just closed the kitchen and became a tap house because the food is staining the Pelican brand. $15.99 for 3 pieces of fish and a handful of fries from the freezer is absurd. I’d come back for the beer as it’s made very well and the staff is nice but I won’t be eating here again unless the prices are cut in half or the food becomes twice as good.
The beer is good so far, the food is overpriced for what it is, the spicy tots is just tots with what seems like re-heated frozen chicken with sriracha and spicy mayo drizzled on top. Less than Exciting. Food was quick tho, the burgers look like a better choice
While I enjoyed the beer, I cannot say i enjoyed the brew pub. The food prices were surprisingly high and the quality disappointingly low. I can safely say, I will not return. The staff were friendly and the food was served fast. Seating was available both inside and out.
Updated. There was a bit of a wait, all wearing masks, but totally worth the wait. Food was good, beer was great, and these guys are working super hard to keep things clean and make sure everyone is safe. Great job guys! Would definitely recommend if you're in town. Update...came here last year and couldn't wait to get back. Long drive from Boise, was super excited to enjoy the food and beer at Pelican again. But fish and chips were tasteless and greasy, and expensive! Had a burger too and it was also pretty tasteless. And the beer was not cold. What happened?? Disappointed.
This was the worst fish and chips I have ever had (outside of a school lunch). Square pieces of breaded dry fish from the freezer. Like the bargain kind. So bad. The outdoor seating is just a few haphazard tables in a parking lot. No table service.
