Casa Spania - Timişoara

Very poor service. Plates incomplete: One plate was missing cheese, another missing the potatoes. Waitress confused

It left a bitter taste this restaurant. Not because of the food, which was good and very good, but the atmosphere and prices. The portions are small, especially seals, which are extremely small, their prices do not appear in the menu and are very high. Plus every time I ordered something they had to ask the chef if there is that dish. Kinda sad atmosphere, was quite empty, with nothing Spanish, except for the reproductions of Dali on the wall, yet the spirit of Spain's more than that. The food was good- Sollomillo al jerez is pork in white wine, very good, excelent deserts also- Natillas caseras very very good.

Spanish owner, spanish waiter and cook. That in my opinion covers the service making it a true Spanish traditional restaurant.They prepare traditional plates with all the key ingredients imported from Spain. Also Spanish drinks. And they really did a good job decorating the place to give it the spanish feeling.Prices are a bit high, but it worths it.Minus points : *not true spanish coffee, *they have just a few spanish beers. (no Estrella or Voll Damm).

Overpriced and very basic food, bad service. The waitress got our order all wrong, the bread was old and the wait was too long, considering we were the only customers in the restaurant, but for one more table.

My wife and I stopped at Casa Spania after a short walk in Timisoara's old city squares. It is very close to Unirii square.The owner is Spanish and that reflected in the looks of the restaurant, as well as in the quality of the food.We had paella, very well cooked.The interiors are very interesting, with Salvador Dali replica paintings on the walls, traditional Spanish woodwork and music. All very well balanced and with very good taste.The only downside was the menu, for someone not used to Spanish cuisine as we were, we didn't quite understand what ingredients were in the foods or how they were cooked. But the food was great and service was good too.If they had better made and more detailed menus, I would have given it 5 stars!
