Esso Truck Stop Restaurant - Timmins

I have been enjoying the delicious breakfast at this truck stop for many years now. It is always a favorite of mine whenever I visit Timmins.

Here is our recent experience at this restaurant. In the past, the food was delicious and homemade, but since new ownership, the quality has declined. The fries are now frozen instead of freshly cut, the burgers are dry and lacking in flavor, and the house poutine, which used to be a favorite, is now disappointing. I hate to be so negative, but the food is now so bad that I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. I will not be returning until the food quality improves. It's possible that the delivery drivers are contributing to the problem, as our food was poorly packaged and my wife even got burnt trying to carry the bags.

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone passing by!

Ordered some delivery from here for dinner over SkipTheDishes. I wasn't too hungry so I just had a fried egg sandwich with some fries. It came quite quickly so kudos to both restaurant and delivery driver on that. The food was well prepared, the egg was a nice medium cook, which is ideal for a fried egg sandwich. Quite satisfying.

This restaurant is now known as Matti's Family Restaurant. Some of the Best poutine are served her along with the very best of fast friendly service just ask.for Helene, then there's the food that consists of large portions of delicious ho.e made comfort food a must try.
