In timmins everything is only from the main road through the city. I know that I am a bit exaggerated, but in the rule I am in hotels and eat in the restaurants on the main train. recently I was in the hotel cedar meadow. I'm not always up. because I look back. the cold and drive to find something to eat. I was really glad not only to find that the hotel had connected a restaurant, but also to find it was good! I ate both nights I stayed in the hotel. I tend to sit at the bar, but there are stand and table seats. the main dining room is very nice and there is a gas fireplace to boot! I had one night the eisburger and then the fish and chips. both were great. good selection of food and drink and they had the local brew on tap!
The food was decent, but two dishes had to be fixed. one was the wrong command. another had cold congealed kartoffels. service was friendly but confused. beautiful decoration but dated.
I have been in timmins for several years and have decided to cedar meadows, especially because the voyageur restaurant is located and is very good. the eating options in timmins are very limited, so I prefer to stay here as I can get a decent breakfast and dinner, even if that means that I need to take a taxi into the city for work the breakfasts are great, cheap and the service was consistently good. the girl that served me knew that I was in a hurry to come to a meeting so that she put my order and brought my bill to the place and went out of her to make sure I wasn't too late. I liked that very much. the dinner options are varied, although a little on the expensive side. but eating is fresh and tasty. also, large service during dinner.
I just finished reviewing this restaurant on the Cedar Meadows site so I'll be brief. 4 couples all enjoyed their dinners and drinks. The appetizers were hot and served altogether. The entrees were generous portions and very tasty. Mary, our server for the evening was...at the top of her game. The restaurant was full but she managed to juggle all her responsibilities with an efficient charm and always a smile. Dinner was great, but the service was even better.
