Champs Chicken - Tipp City

Hit or miss on this place. 3 out 4 times i have been here the chicken and fish were both cold and not fresh. However the 1 time I did get fresh chicken and fish it was good.

When you stop in here you ar being charged improper TAX on food to go, ice tea unsweet, 100% Juice, coffee, this is being charged with there knowledge and have made it clear that they will not refund it to you when asked. Their District Manager told me today its .14 just let it go! Then give me the .14 It adds up! .14x10 a week= 1.40x10 non sugar drinks a week= 14.00 thats is approx. 7 drinks lost in taken money out my pocket that I could use for anything else like 4.5gals of fuel. I am asking folks to ask them to stop charging the wrong tax and if they do give it back.

We stopped at Road Dog a few months ago and it was great. We tried it again last week and it was awful. The fish and chicken were served to us at room temperature. We weren't sure how long it had been since the pieces were cooked, but it had been a while. The breading had all fallen off the chicken in the box and the chicken looked grayish. The fish was also room temp and very chewy, like it had been cooked sometime long ago, or reheated several times in a microwave. The green beans were so salty they were inedible. We had to throw away the whole meal (8 piece of chicken and 3 pieces of fish, plus sides). Very bad food. Did the first cook quit and they started buying precooked stuff from GFS?

Stopped in here the other day. I've never had Champs Chicken before so this was new. The chicken tenders had been in the hot case a bit too long and had dried out and were chewy. That could be overlooked but the taste couldn't. Way too much salt and pepper to the point of making the tenders nearly inedible. On a good note the corn was very tasty.

This is a hidden gem. You think, gas station chicken? Umm, I don 't think so. Don 't let the unusual location fool you! Firstly, I was cheerfully greeted as soon as I walked in. The two individuals working behind the counter were so helpful and professional. Fantastic customer service! My husband loved the Mac and cheese, and the chicken is definitely a must. We 'll be back, and I hope to try the whitefish next time... If it 's not sold out!
