Cheatham's Pit Bbq - Tiptonville

Who would have imagined that pork nachos could be so delicious? My daughter-in-law tried the chicken nachos and loved them just as much. My husband had the pork dinner and savored every bite. My sons also enjoyed their meals. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience; we hope to return soon!

This is a solid BBQ joint, especially impressive for a small town. The food deserves a 4-star rating, but the warm welcome from the staff really boosted it to a 5! We shared the 1.5-pound platter of pork and chicken, and I would definitely order it again. The chicken was juicy and tender, while the pork had a great smoky flavor. The potato salad was absolutely a winner! Their mild and hot BBQ sauces were both delicious. Everything about this meal was enjoyable!

The food here is excellent! I'm especially fond of the pit fries! I will definitely return! I can’t wait for my family to visit this place with me!

Food is not incredibly good. Not incredibly bad, either Service was average Dining room was average. The people were quite friendly. This is an odd review. Nothing really stood out. And nothing makes me want to write a bad review. Our dining experience was sorta ho-hum. But it wasn't ho-hum. It felt like a familiar place where you would go because you know know what to expect and it's always comfortable. I'm right on the precipice of throwing that 5th star on this review. Yet, I just can't. But rest assured, this is a solid 4 star dining review. If you eat here, you might not remember it, but you will never regret it!

My friends Kyley, Rylee, and I spent a week on vacation at Reelfoot Lake, and The Pit truly exceeded our expectations. We dined there multiple times, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious.
