Last month, I ordered a pepper barbecue, but unfortunately, it tasted slightly off and had a rotten smell. Despite this, I continued eating because I was hungry. The next day, I developed a severe throat infection which lasted for a week, even after visiting the doctor. This seems to be an isolated incident, but it appears that the restaurant is not paying attention to the quality of food they serve, or they are simply ignoring it. Additionally, if you choose to dine at this restaurant, be prepared to wait longer than usual for your order to be served.
I have visited Saba restaurant several times, mainly for takeout. They have completely revamped their menu, which used to include a wide variety of dishes. The new menu is more standard, but still offers delicious options like Naan and Tandoori. It was definitely a step ahead for Trichy.
During our stay at the Gardenia Hotel, we decided to dine at Saba Restaurant, which is located nearby. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, but the staff was just average. The food took longer than expected to be prepared, and the service was also just average. The taste of the food was decent.
This place is located in the outskirts of the city and not very advertised. The ambience is great. Arabian theme. Food is good, kebabs are mouth watering. Service is very good. They have a hall also for bigger groups.
Saba is a breath of fresh in the dining scene in Tiruchy.. It has a great ambience and also a good variety of non-vegetarian food, mainly Arabian and some Kerala specialities such as Karimeen pollichathu, Fish Moily etc. the portions are also nicely sized. Do try the non-vegetarian platter to get a taste of all things good. A family of 4 could easily do with just the platter and some bread and salad accompaniments. All in all a great experience
