Newly renovated with different zoned areas, with rustic wooden benches and tables, upholstered sofa and armchairs, hard and soft seating in bright and trendy fabrics. There's a cave...at the back of the eating area with an eclectic assortment of wines, predominantly the local Bergerac (many organic) which can be bought to take away or with a corkage charge of to accompany your meal. A vast array of artisanal beers can also be bought from the cave. Wine is also available by the glass. The informal set up and the way you could see what was going on in the kitchen is always reassuring and the mingling of staff and diners made for a relaxed and friendly ambience. The menu is not extensive and everything appears to be home-made which is rare these days. Several things (both savoury and sweet) were served in glass Kilner-type jars. There was a plat du jour and a butcher's cut of the day as well as more filling things like parmentier but we wanted something lighter so chose the cep ravioli (there are several different pasta dishes) which was a good choice. We had a glass of an organic Grand Roc which went well with the pasta. Staff and diners were all very friendly and our experience at L'Arrosoir was positive.
