Can’t remember when I’ve finally been on a restaurant serving authentic Danish food or grandmother cuisine, it’s food that you would have served in a collection house for a silver wedding. The menu is fixed a week at a time. In week 29 in 2023, it was tarts with chickens in sparges, pot of beef and red onion with cream. And everything is really good and served warm and fast. You can snildt reach the entire menu in 45 minutes if you want to be asked how busy you are! And you can get more of all servings if the appetite is great. There is only 1 red wine to choose from at a nice price of $195. The menu costs DKK 245. It is recommended. But remember to order table on Facebook!
Have eaten some times at Æ Kalgo and has never been disappointed. Good, prepared food and good service. I definitely come back and again
Good Danish food at reasonable prices. Tablets with hens and asparagus 2 pcs per person tasted well. Kalvesteg with waldorf salad, cucumber salad, bellberry and potatoes and sauce. The flesh was so tender as butter and all tasted well. Everything at reasonable prices and with friendly and attentive service. Good red wine.
We were visiting Pinselørdag, the place and the concept is absolutely super. We came to a full restaurant where there was very noise level in the relatively small local, the menu was Gravad filed m dild dressing and asparagus on the bread and the oxfilet w pea and baked red onions. Potatoes and sauces and Chocolate Cakes m vanilie cream for 170 kr. for all 3 dishes. The court and dessert were ok, however, the chocolate cake was somewhat dry, but the beef file was simply unequal, you could not chew through the meat, we made aware of this and the owner's chef Per gave that it was not good and gave DKK 20 at discount, it just didn't save our dinner.
We ate here for our year day. It was fat to be able to take my husband with and let him get a classic potato dinner. Here is really cozy. We ate in the small living room and coveted with a classic beef soup with homemade flourballs, meatballs and the mandatoryly crushed Jutland rice with raisins. Then the main dish with rose and cooked potatoes and to finish a good lemon fromage. I would definitely recommend Æ Kalgo to anyone who will experience the classic rent of Jutland kitchen. Both locals and guests in the area.
