Contribuisci feedbackBeing a management consultant, I often take clients out to lunch in Tokyo. As a vegan, finding suitable restaurants can be quite challenging in the Marunouchi area. Recently, I discovered the restaurant Wadakura at the Palace Hotel, which offers vegan tempura and a vegetarian lunch option. The upscale restaurant has an elegant and intimate atmosphere with spacious interiors, well-spaced tables, comfortable seating, and impeccable service. The menu caters to those looking for healthier dining options, with a focus on quality rather than quantity. The vegetarian lunch, priced at 3,400 yen, consists of six or seven courses that are well worth appreciating. The dishes, including a delicious carrot cake and a flavorful mabo dofu made with fake meat, are truly exceptional. The sweet tofu with sweet beans dessert was a delightful finale to the meal. Although the lunch experience may take up to 90 minutes to complete all the courses, it is highly recommended for those looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. Despite my positive experience, I can only give the restaurant four stars, as it is not 100% vegan according to Happy Cow's rating system.
After reading curiosity3's review, we decided to visit the Ken Takase Cantonese restaurant. And let me tell you, curiosity3 was right - it's a fantastic place to dine! The restaurant is located in the basement of the Tokyo Railway Station and the Tokyo Hotel, giving it an exclusive feel. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a culinary experience. This is not a place for a quick bite, as they offer a long seven-course dinner menu. There is a green menu option as well as various vegetarian dishes. After 8 pm, only smaller dishes are available for order. We arrived at 6 pm and opted for the green menu, which featured a variety of seasonal vegetables. The dish was a delight, with perfectly cooked and flavored plant pieces. The next course was a soup with a variety of mushrooms, which the chef presented beautifully before explaining their health benefits. It was a joy to eat! Following that, a dish of fake meat, shrimp, and fish was served, all tasting delicious. The mabo tofu was different from other restaurants, but Ken Takase's version was simply wonderful. The fried brown rice was cooked perfectly, and even dessert was a delight, although we were almost too full to finish it. The entire dinner lasted about 2 hours and, while it may leave you feeling both full and a bit lighter in the wallet (the green menu is 6,400 yen per person), it was worth every yen. We enjoyed every moment and every bite at Ken Takase's restaurant.
We ordered the green swallow curs. some of the dishes were good, but others were lacking. for the price I would have expected it better. the service was great.
I tried green swallow at dinner, it is vegan option. suppe was really unique and delicious! this course was totally good, but a bit expensive.
As management consultant, I often take customers to lunch. as a vegan in tokio I have a lot more annoyed with it. really not easy, and the Marunouchi area is one of the hardest against in tokio to arrange this circle. my only option was the palace hotel restaurant wadakura, where I can get vegan tempura (really excellent, btw) when I call. this place en serves a vegetarian lunch meeting the place. If you look at the price, you could expect it anyway, but you never know until you try. this upscale restaurant with an elegant, intimate atmosphere, spacious interior, spacious tables, comfortable seating and impeccable service. they aim clearly and blatantly to do well, healthier-prone housewives crowd who have no care in the world, except to spend money. they make up 75% of the males at the same time and the menu accordingly offers a vegetarian lunch at 3,400 yen (first option in the menu) and a health dinner at 3,800 for those who can not do without animal corpses. more expensive options available. the vegetarian lunch is really a vegan lunch and it was excellent. Consists of six or seven curses, each of them is worth to appreciate for and. the carrot cake was exalted, the mabo dofu was one of the best I ever had (they used fake meat that was inconspicuous from the animal meat variant), the sweet tofu with sweet bean desserts an always finale. highly recommended. only one thing: they need at least 90 minutes to make it through all seven dishes, so that this cannot work for everyone. Note the four stars instead of five stars simply because happy cow does not allow 5 stars for restaurants that are not 100% veg. I can't say I agree with this policy, but you have it.
