Contribuisci feedbackAfter pestering the chef on social media to find a place where I could finally try his tacos, I was able to catch him at Ruby Room for Cinco de Mayo. My Mexican friends were initially skeptical about a white guy making vegan tacos, but after trying them, they were sold. The homemade sauces and blue corn tortillas were authentic and delicious, something rare to find in Tokyo. The grilled mushrooms and spicy sauce were perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I hope to see a permanent location for Kinoko Tacos Douzo soon.
After persistently searching for an event to try these tacos, I finally caught up with the poor guy crazy on social media and found him at Ruby Room for Cinco de Mayo. My Mexican friends were initially skeptical about a white guy serving vegan tacos, but they were quickly won over by the homemade sauces and blue maistortillas. The tacos were a hit from the first bite, with some of them even going back for seconds. The grilled mushrooms were cooked to perfection and the spicy sauce had the right balance of flavors. I hope we can have a permanent location for Kinoko Tacos Douzo soon. This review will be updated on May 8, 2022.
