Unb's Soul Food (cafe) - Toledo

I have to start with one word: phenomenal! I travel for ten months out of the year and try soul food from all across the country. I ordered the BBQ rib tips, along with sides of collard greens, mac and cheese, and jambalaya. Everything was absolutely delicious. And don't forget dessert—I had the chocolate mousse cake, which was amazing! I can't wait to come back soon!

This was my first visit, and I couldn't be happier! The service was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I had the fried chicken, okra, and mac and cheese, and each dish had a unique twist on traditional recipes, featuring bold spices. I will definitely be returning!

So... I can see why my mom loves this place!!! Every time she comes home, she has nothing but good things to say about food, hospitality and dessert My mom brought me a car home. If I tell you... The macaroni and cheese is so good!!!! I'm not a fan of Mac and cheese. But that was my favorite. The rib tips are also at point. The sauce has a little kick. But otherwise they were fleshy, not over spiced, and a good part. I am definitely a fan and will be back soon

Tuesday was my first time experiencing the food and I will definitely be back! I had the catfish, mac n cheese, greens, muffin and lawd that sweet potato cheesecake. All of the food was seasoned to perfection. It's not often that you get a muffin and wish you had more. The service was on point. I wound up here because I tried another soul food restaurant not far from this but the line was busy, not the first time this happened so I was like lets give UNB, let's just say I'm glad the other places line was busy. I wish the place was bigger because on Sunday I'd like to bring my parents after church, but I'm sure with the food being so good there's a line and my parents can't stand in lines. Keep up the good work, I'll be back just have to figure out what to try next!
