Pelican Brewing – Cannon Beach

The environment was good and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is very overpriced for what it was. Dry fish, unseasoned fries. I did enjoy the cole slaw. 3 star meal on a five star budget. As a local, I will leave it for the tourists.

10/10 service inside and out! We grabbed a beer for the wait. They had about 15 different ones on tap. The food was delicious, we had the clam chowder and a pizza. I recommend the Marionberry Buckle dessert dish. It tastes like something made from your grandmothers kitchen.

The Dutch reviews weren't that good, but we like local breweries and gave Pelican Brewing a try. The restaurant was full, but with about a 15 minute wait we were able to try the first beer (unfortunately in a plastic cup because of the takeaway waiting area) and it was excellent. Within fifteen minutes we were sitting at the table. We had very friendly and fast service. For dinner I hesitated between the tri rip or one of the burgers. We both chose a different burger and that was certainly not a bad choice. Simply delicious. Second beer and root beer also tasted excellent. Price is normal what you can expect in the US these days. Drink prices were a bit reasonable. Conclusion this brewpub was more than good. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere was pleasant and the tables were cleaned well. If you are in the area and like special beer, definitely stop by.

For the Brits, this is essentially an American Brewers Fayre pub, with arguably better quality food. I had a very nice burger and chips, my wife had a very good seafood salad. We had to eat out of a box outside as the restaurant was closed due to a burst mains pipe outside, but the sun was shining, the place had a nice atmosphere and the staff were friendly. It's a chain, I'd recommend them. You don't get a beach view, but the view of the road outside is ok, and it's only a short walk to the beach.
