The Windmill Ice Cream Shoppe

We recently visited the Windmill Ice Cream Shoppe while staying at a nearby vacation home, and it was a delightful experience! The place has a charming atmosphere, and the service is exceptional. If you're not very hungry, I recommend ordering just two scoops; one scoop is quite generous, especially for a tourist area! The prices are very reasonable too. It's wonderful to see places like this still thriving—definitely worth a visit! Enjoy!

We stayed at Lake Nokomis for a week and visited this place twice during our trip. The staff was fantastic and displayed remarkable efficiency in getting people through the line. They stack the cones like pros! They also rotate their flavors, so something you love might not be available the next day. Just a heads-up: make sure to bring cash, as they don’t accept cards!

Great place to stop for a unique and nostalgic time. The ice cream was great and for four dollars I have more than I could eat! Stetiger river of people who come through, but they were able to handle the volume. Time to open the bathroom, Covid is all done and the patrons had to cross the street and use facilities at tilted loon.
