Brooklyn Bistro - Toms River

The Brooklyn Bistro is an ideal spot to unwind after a hectic day in the city. The spinach salad with grilled chicken was excellent, especially with the ginger dressing. It complemented the Viognier wine beautifully! I find myself returning often since I usually stay at the Hampton Inn at the bottom of the hill.

We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including starters, house salad, pasta, and options for both fish and meat lovers. Everything was perfectly cooked and freshly prepared, and we appreciated the leisurely pace between courses. To finish off our meal, we savored double espressos, and I highly recommend saving room for dessert — they were fantastic! I would wholeheartedly recommend Brooklyn Bistro for its excellent dinner, great service, and overall enjoyable atmosphere. Just a note: this review comes from someone who is originally from the Bronx but now resides in Jersey, so you know it must be good!

I requested some diet coaching, and each time I did, it took around 20 minutes and multiple inquiries to get a response. Additionally, there were no salads included with the meals. To top it off, my table was located right in front of the music. While the singer was talented, the volume was so high that I couldn’t have a conversation with the person next to me, making it impossible to interact with the other four people at our table. I waited in silence, and even though the staff was kind enough to say they would ask the musician to turn down the volume, I noticed several other guests expressing their concerns too, yet it didn’t seem to make a difference. We ultimately decided to skip dessert and went somewhere else just so we could have a conversation. Such a letdown!

07/29/2022: Lunch for 4. This is my first visit and will NOT be my last. We enjoyed Octopus, Mussels and Meatball appetizers excellent. Friends order different entrees. My salmon was above average and a meat special (forgot name) was just as big. We were full and only enjoyed coffee for Dessert. I will certainly dine here again and recommend Brooklyn Bistro to anyone in the area looking for a good meal. Thank you.

We had Danielle as our server, she's GREAT. Attentive and not pushy. Had the rice balls as an appetizer, very delicious. Clams and linguine for dinner, was excellent. I'm sad that I didn't save any to take home. My husband said the cheesecake is better than mine. ?
