El Campesino - Toms River

The food was exceptional. The Pasteos were amazing and the guacamole is some if the best Ive ever had. Very fresh high quality ingredients.

This restaurant continues to blow me away with the quality of their food. The shrimp tacos were absolutely amazing! They were huge, fresh, jumbo shrimp chopped in big chunks (not the tiny little, 1/2" frozen ones you get in most other places). Their Guacamole is still my favorite of any Mexican restaurant in the area. And I love the fact that theyre not afraid to use HOT spices!! Fan for life here, please dont change!

Ive ordered from this place many times before and it was always fantastic. This time it was awful. My shrimp in the shrimp tacos were small, transparent and tasteless (maybe frozen or old?? The beef was very tough and overcooked. They were also out of guacamole. If I didnt know better it was like I was ordering from a completely different restaurant... did they change Chefs or Owners? Maybe it was just an "off night" but, it was so bad Im reluctant to order again.

Very good food! The Quesadilla de asada and Horchata were delicious, definitely eating here again!

In any case do not recommend food is not fresh I ordered Semita and it was more like a Torta waitress is always common not helpful. No lo recomiendo ordene semita pero era mas torta que semita
