The hours are posted, and they should adhere to them. We won’t be returning, especially after experiencing this twice in two days. This is just my personal opinion, but having worked in many restaurants, I believe that guests should always be seated during business hours. I love dining out and try to support local businesses. Unfortunately, if you want to eat between 2:00 and 5:30, this isn’t the right place. There are other options nearby with set hours and a dining room open after their posted closing time.
I have always been willing to overlook the mediocre service, but honestly, the quality of the sushi has declined to the point where it’s no longer worth it. The rice was neither fresh nor flavorful, and the slices were uneven (just look at the Mexican crunchy rolls in the photo). We couldn't even finish what we ordered. To make matters worse, our table of two barely received any attention from the servers, who seemed to prioritize larger groups instead, which was odd since the restaurant appeared to be full. In short, if you're looking for decent service and good sushi, it's better to make the trip into the valley, because Osaka just isn't cutting it anymore.
The quality and consistency of their food have declined in recent years. The rolls have always had a somewhat unique appearance, but the taste of the oyakodon I had recently felt like a newer, inferior recipe. They've also been struggling with long wait times lately. I waited over 90 minutes for my ramen because they were overwhelmed with DoorDash orders. By the time my food arrived, my wife had finished her meal 20 minutes earlier. The main appeal of the restaurant has always been the discounted prices on rolls, but they've been raising prices more frequently. If my wife didn't have such fond memories of the place, I would consider not returning at all.
Love eating, it's so good. a little expensive, but their suppers are huge for the price. the only problem is in the rule the suppe cooking the egg, but I know that in America they can't do that because our eggs are somehow not safe according to world standards. the egg was chopped in the suppe. good quiet.
Buyer Beware. Not customer friendly. Added their own tip. Place was empty and we were scolded for not making a reservation. They had us wait 20 minutes so the could seat us. We should have taken this as an omen and dined somewhere else. Food arrived quickly, and cold. Even the miso soup was ice cold. When the bill arrived, they tasted on their own $26 tip. I am not opposed to tipping greater than 25% for a job well done, this was not that type of service we received today. When asked, they said ?oh, that is what we charge now.? I would say we were regulars, visiting once sometimes twice a week. I will never be back.
