Taco John's - Topeka

The food is great when I get the craving for it. The Potato Oles give me more starch and salt than I aim for most of the time, but are a guilty occasional pleasure. The burritos are filling and tacos tasty.Make sure and check any order to be sure you've got everything before you head out. While I've had an occasional mixing item, they're always quick to fix the issue. Just make sure you catch it. No need to raise a big fuss, as the crew has always been nice and willing to correct the mistakes made, but their order filling system has had me missing something more than once, so be aware.It's in a gas station. If you're ordering inside, you're filling your drink there. There is a little shared seating that's decent, but not always the cleanest. I've always picked stuff up to eat elsewhere, and the station is not awful. It just loses atmosphere points.I've not tried the drive through, but they have one.

The absolute only thing I miss about over the road trucking... access to a Taco Johns every few days. Now my trucking just takes me back and forth between Oklahoma and Texas. So when an opportunity to get to Lincoln, Ne this week... I jumped... soley for the purpose of Taco John's. I mean it... I mapped the route from hotel to TJ's before hotel to the office. But then in my research... I found TJ's in Topeka along the way. I had the great pleasure of enjoying my first Super Potatoes Ole' in YEARS!!! Later that evening I enjoyed the Chicken Strip Taco I got free for downloading the App. Heck yeah... 3 days later I stopped again on the way home. Super Potatoes Ole' is probably one of my favorite menu items ANYWHERE!!!?????

Service was attentive, active listeners and timely on preparing the order. The portions were a little on the light side.Wheelchair accessibility: They did have wheelchair accessibility. The ordering area would be a little tight for the maneuvering of a chair, yet could be done.

Taco John's always hits the spot, especially after a wedding with an open-bar. Thank you!
