There seemed to be just one person taking the orders and sorting out the food and although it was not busy just three people in total, it all seemed a bit of a faff and an effort for them. The cakes and drinks arrived and were okay the scones were a bit dry but they often are and there was enough cream and jam to moisten them up a bit. Big sign on the door stating there were no toilets on the premises but there were some on the prom apparently no directions or anything helpful to guide a visitor perhaps. So, the café could have been a bit more welcoming, could have been a little less ramshackle and could have had a loo. Probably would not return.
Good homemade food in a pretty garden but noisy road and just be aware no customer toilet or seating inside, but otherwise very nice
Stopped and had a lovely cream tea in the garden bathed in sunshine, overlooking the sea. All very nice indeed. 2 scones, tea, clotted cream and strawberry jam, £7 each.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant today. We sat in a peaceful garden which was perfect. The girls enjoyed their milkshakes, and they were delicious. They also said the coffee was perfect and the scones and teacakes were lovely. The servers were friendly and made an effort to speak directly to my little girl who uses a wheelchair, which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely visit again while on holiday here. I highly recommend this place.
Today, we went to Cafe Verde and received a warm welcome and excellent service! The lattes and toasted tea cakes were delicious, and we enjoyed sitting in the cool garden. The location near the Paignton seafront was perfect. We highly recommend this cafe and will definitely be returning soon.
