Green Ginger - Torbay

I was apprehensive after a previous bad experience, but last night I tried the beef Madras from Green Ginger, a Chinese takeaway. It was absolutely delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. The meal came with two large poppadoms, a large naan bread, and a soft drink, all for under £10. In contrast, I had recently paid £11.70 for a disappointing curry in plastic containers. I highly recommend Green Ginger for their Thursday curry specials!

I was shocked when my breakfast was served cold. I sent it back, but it came back cold again. I got a refund and will never eat breakfast there again or recommend it. It was a disgusting experience.

Terrible service, waited over an hour for our drinks others were served several times before us , when I complained staff they were unhelpful, no apology!! just excuses and then security came over to our table having the audacity to complain about me complaining.

If you are looking to eat out on a budget with good hearty food, I would recommend this place for families and couples place was tidy. Staff were polite and courteous. The food arrived hot I would definitely come back here again.

We ordered our food at the bar and the girl was very helpful. This was the first time in this place. Quite a simple meal ham egg and chips steak and jacket potato with some onion rings and a tomato. We didn 't wait too long before the food was brought out. Problem was when my plate was put in front of me I said to the girl where 's the steak to which she replied don 't speak to me like that . I then pointed to the plate and said I ordered steak so where is it. She grabbed the plate and walked away. I couldn 't believe the attitude as if I had said something wrong. A few minutes later she came back with the plate and the steak was on the plate. I ordered med steak but this was a well done steak. She said sorry about that. We ate as much as we could tolerate then left . I cannot recommend this place for the food or the attitude of one of the staff. I understand sometimes things can go wrong but it is not for staff to be rude to customers when they complain about things that are clearly not right.
