Despite the food being good, the wait for delivery was unacceptable. I placed my order at 5:15, only 15 minutes after they opened, and was told it would take an hour for delivery. However, I knew it could take up to 90 minutes if they were busy. When I called after an hour and 20 minutes to check on the status, I was told it had just left and would arrive in 10 minutes. After waiting for 30 minutes and still no sign of the food, I called again to complain. Unfortunately, they did not seem to care and offered no apology. The food finally arrived 2 hours later, well over the time I had placed the order. I will not be ordering from them again.
Typically, I would say that this restaurant is excellent, but tonight on January 8th, I decided to have food delivered to my home. I specifically requested no prawns, but when I opened my food, I discovered that they had included prawns, which I cannot eat. It is now too late to order from another place, and I am very disappointed. I had been looking forward to this meal all day, and I feel let down.
Just had a family take away and the salt and pepper chicken was shockingly bad. A family member has been vomiting since eating it.
Stayed at Torquay holiday park and went online for delivery. It was delivered to caravan door within 40 minutes and my god it was fantastic, everything freshly cooked and very tasty really large portions and they also put spring rolls and fortune cookies in bag. Will definitely have again if we come back to the area
This place is our absolute go to for a Chinese takeaway. As I have a gluten allergy we find it quite difficult to find takeaway places that you can trust, with a good range of gluten free dishes, however Wok’s Cook-In has so many for you to chose from. All these dishes are also clearly marked up on the menu meaning you don’t have to have the awkward and irritating conversation with the restaurant staff asking what you can and can’t have. My non-coeliac partner also loves the food here, so definitely would recommend to anybody looking for a lush gluten free Chinese that isn’t going to ‘gluten’ you, that the rest of your family can also enjoy.
