Sally's Tea Rooms - Torfaen

The food at this restaurant is outstanding, perfectly cooked with friendly staff even when busy. Sitting outside and enjoying the view and beautiful weather adds to the overall experience.

I recently discovered this gem of a restaurant! My visit on Saturday was truly delightful, especially because of the amazing toastie I had. The price was very reasonable as well. We enjoyed our meal on the wooden deck with a fantastic view. Despite the busy atmosphere, we didn't have to wait long at all. I definitely plan on returning very soon! The only downside was the unhelpful staff outside, but that has no reflection on the restaurant staff, and it won't deter me from coming back for another toastie.

Visited the Secret Garden on Saturday 30/03/24. Ordered brie, bacon cranberry sandwich and Coronation chicken sandwich. Service was swift. Staff pleasant. Portions generous. Great value for money. Looked tasted great. Sat outside under cover in the sun. We will be back

The entire restaurant was dirty. Tables were not clean, the floor needed a thorough cleaning, and the cutlery and dishes were dirty. The service was slow, with our tea finished before the food arrived. The terrace leaked, and the staff appeared uninterested. While this restaurant used to be a hidden treasure, we will not be returning and do not recommend it.

I’ve been coming for many years last few visits we’ve commented on increasing grubbiness. Today we watched staff as they walked past dirty tables clearing tables eventually) but did not wipe any down. The floor was filthy the tables sticky. They got our order wrong after waiting 30 mins. I watched elderly customers helping to clear tables even though plenty of staff. Given plenty of chances but won’t return unless they have a big deep clean
