Milestones Grill + Bar - Toronto - Scarborough

Service - initially attentive but then fell off; pleasantFood - prime rib was so-so; tough-ish; not nearly as good as Canyon Creek and while slightly less expensive, still not cheap. Veggies, potato (mashed and French fries) as will as quinoa, fine. Dessert - chocolate nut torte and white chocolate cheesecake were very good.Atmosphere - very goodDon't know that I would make a special trip to go here again. Definitely would not have the prime rib.

Milestones really bucks the trend - a chain restaurant that emphasizes creativity, flavour and freshness. Consistently good quality and good sized portions are also appreciated. The bellinis are memorable, as well.

This past Friday walked in after having a poor a service and experience at the location close to home Hwy 7 and Yonge the other week. The parking lot was pretty full but the restaurant was not. Upon walking in no greeter, looked around no menus and the place looked more than half empty waited around for 10 mins and tried to locate someone to serve me after struggling to see and find anyone that was staff I gave up and walked out and crossed the street and had an amazing lunch at Scaddabush an amazing experience 2x people greeted me right away and when one is Seating someone another is present I was able to get seated and served and went across the street to get who I was meeting and get who I was meeting and confirmed again no one at the front of the restaurant to greet and seat and was so so busy for a Friday afternoon and showed me that staff and restaurant are poorly run and won't be back for what they charge the food is average but service is non existent and no leadership or structure and the staff clearly do what they want and not what they need to invite guest to there restaurant or dinning experience. I give up with them and use to go their chains 1x a week now won't be back! 2x strikes in a week at two locations I am done not even a reply or sorry about the last experience shows and proves no one cares is looking at reviews and addressing so I guess a drop in sales and visits should let them know they aren't running a restaurant well any more! I have been a customer for over 20+ years of theirs or was!

My boyfriend and I actually had our first date here 4.5 years ago. We've been back several times. I even took my mom here. We swore we'd never return after such bad experiences since then, (advertised beer promotions out of stock, restaurant ran out of buns for sandwiches, kitchen backed up an hour but not told until AFTER we ordered) but I did return. I met a friend for lunch. We had a salad with shrimp and their house made salsa. It was delicious. I asked what was in the salsa (more of a pico de gallo in my opinion) and they wouldn't tell me!! I've never had that happen. I found that so weird!! Their brunch is good, but I really enjoyed this salad. It was huge.

I ordered a martini, which took forever to come. For dinner (at 4:30, when the restaurant was basically empty). I had The Mediterranean Chicken, and asked for spaghetti instead of chick peas and vegetables. The waitress made a big point of saying that they might charge me for the spaghetti. The pasta came dry, with no sauce. The chicken was marinated and so dry, but at least it was marinated. I asked for sauce for the pasta (again, possibly an upcharge) but finally brought it, when the chicken had become cold, so I was no longer hungry.I wouldn't complain about this particular experience if, to begin with, the waitress had happily substituted the pasta, as every other server has done for the same dish at Milestones. The chicken was dry, which leads me to my further transgression -- I was charged for dry spaghetti. Yes, they brought me dry spaghetti on top of dry chicken. Upcharge for sauce.Don't go to Milestones Scarborough. Moxies, Canyon Creek and the Keg are nearby, and if your bill is going to be $50+, I'm not sure why anyone would go to Milestones.
