Tim Hortons - Toronto Canada

I was very eager to get donuts from Tim Hortons after reading so much about the place. My expectations were for it to be a step above Dunkin' Donuts. I got a glazed donut and a ginger and chocolate cream filled specialty donut. I got these donuts after 7pm and I wasn't surprised that they were not fresh. They would have been so much better if they were. The glazed was okay as well as the gingerbread. The ginger was so visually appealing and tasty, and that is what sold me. I am not a fan of chocolate cream but I think the chocolate, ginger, and cream worked well together. Not bad at all Tim Hortons.

Recent visit Feb 2020. I only keep going back because it 's in my building and it 's cold/snowing outside. Today I had a gift card that I wanted to use up. But order kiosks don 't take gift cards! (Because that technology is too advanced. Someone call in Elon Musk, there must be a way to do this! Really don 't like the reduction in donut selection they did a few years ago. I 'm not going to buy those overpriced, oversprinkled, kid 's novelty donuts, but they take up most of the shelf space these days. Service was horrible today (like most days . I waited in line, and walked up as the person in front of me finished ordering and walked away. At the same time the lady managing the cash also walked away, without saying a word. I thought it would be brief, but after waiting five minutes she finally came back and said go to the other cash, you can 't just walk up to an empty cash ! Enough said. Let 's compare the McD 's Sausage n Egg McMuffin to the Timmy 's version: sausage meh, both about the same, Timmy 's is a bit dryer bun McD 's is slightly more soft and buttery cheese both give you a processed slice, whatever hash brown McD 's is crispy, Timmy 's is greasy and soggy (look at the inside of the wrapper after you 're done egg McD 's is fresh, made on site. Timmy 's is this greyish yellow puck that 's been manufactured in some factory, flash frozen and shipped overnight, and freshly nuked before your very eyes. There 's no comparison folks.

The new latte is a big improvement, finally! The food is all mediocre at best. Bettter coffee nearby.

Tim's is obviously one of the popular places in Toronto. Came here for a late night snack and coffee and stayed for a few minutes to relax. Nice environment and fresh desserts!

I had an iced coffee and some water. A pretty simple order the type of order that you don't appreciate when it's done well, because it's almost expected. Well, the drinks were done well, the staff were polite, and I have no complaints. An astoundingly average experience.
