Anchor Bar - Toronto

I was looking forward to eating these wings for awhile. Unfortunately I was not impressed. I ordered the Chipotle BBQ flavour single. I received my order and only got celery, thankfully I don't mind celery but I was surprised I didn't get any carrots? I ate two wings, and that was it. I did not like them. My husband wasn't in the mood to eat wings and ordered the Buffalo Chicken Poutine and that was really good.

We have made this our regular local bar. The food is excellent! There is always a great atmosphere and people are friendly to each other and are made comfortable by the staff. Ryan the bar tender does a fantastic job! He's always on top of things and makes everyone feel welcome. He's an asset to this establishment and it's always a pleasure to go there.

Big facility with lots of seating and usual sports bar ambiance. Hostess seated us fast and friendly. Nachos appetizer was very good. Lots of chips smothered in cheese with jalapeno peppers and tomatoes. Lemon Pepper wings were plump and juicy and good tasting. Wings in medium sauce were plump but had scarcely any sauce on them. Fries were good but coleslaw left a lot to be desired. Server was friendly but slow and inattentive. Much prefer their Buffalo location.

I went there and stood at the door waiting to be seated for some time. Finally I was told to sit anywhere. The waitress suggested the pizza and I gave it a go. It was hand done which was nice to see but the pizza itself was only ok. They sausage piece were large and very tasty. I found it a bit pricey for what I actually got but then again it was hand made for the order. I was in an out in no time which was perfect for my needs.

During anime north weekend our choices for a sit down restaurant were between anchor bar and milestones. SO GLAD WE CHOSE THE FORMER! Atmosphere was great staff was friendly and, best of all, food was fantastic! Likely will come here all this weekend!
