This is a surprisingly beautiful place to take a light lunch while shopping in the eaton centre. the restaurant is located at the top of the north and looks at the atrium at the northern end of the shopping district. a quiet, sunken spot from the hectic and. the host was very pleasant as the waiting staff. I had the lobster bisque and my wife had the wild salmonnicoise salad. both very good. recommended for a recitation when they are out shopping and need a break. the coffee was also pretty good.
Had lunch with 2 friends. The Wild Salmon Niçoise was very good even though the salmon was well cooked (I prefer medium). Service is attentive, the place is busy. Try and reserve a table by the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Ok the good part service was excellent very attentive waitress- the ok part food was good but tiny portion of chicken tacos I mean two little tacos soup was good mushroom flatbread was good not great the bad we ordered one...glass of Pinot Grigio and one glass of rose wine never looked at the prices my bad YIKES $42 for 2 glasses of middle of the road wine is outrageous even by downtown standards
Out of 4 nights in Toronto, we ate dinner here twice. We were positively surprised and very pleased. On the 3rd floor of Nordstrom, you have to know it is there to eat there, but this is typical of Nordstrom restaurants. The surprise was...the happy hour menu (ends at 6 pm). While limited, several appetizers were 1/2 off, wine for 6 CAD and liqueur were heavily discounted too. service was very good. Now, we got there at 5:40 pm on a Tuesday, then again at 5:10 pm on a Friday, so the place was not too busy. Nonetheless, good experience is good experience Fried Calamari appetizer at CAD 7 was very good (regular price 14 Small thin pizza very good at CAD 7. Lime Chicken at 5 was bad value, but heck... The shrimp saffron pasta dish was good, regular price 22? the Cod dish at 33, while not cheap, well prepared and fresh. Chowder very good. Shrimp salad good. wine for 6 per glass is incredible in Toronto, and the pour both nights were very generous, far more volume than the typical glass and the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were both good.
