Both dishes came with a salad or soup. The soup was... delicious and the beef was extremely delicate. Pecan and butter tar should die. Prices are reasonable. It's worth a visit. It's something outside the city center, but you can have egalitarian access it by subway.
I went to Camino last night with a friend based on a recommendation from someone in the neighborhood, and I was incredibly impressed by the delicious food, varied selection, and outstanding service. The only downside was that the only white wine available by the glass was Pinot Grigio, which is not my favorite. However, everything else exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was laid-back and clean, with a French-dominant menu that also included some Asian options. It was difficult to choose what to order because everything looked so good! Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on croquettes for an appetizer and ox tongue for the main course, both of which were generously portioned and delicious. My friend enjoyed the steak and lobster bisque. It was impressive to learn that Camino is a family-owned business, with our server being the daughter of the chef. She managed the bustling restaurant efficiently and with flair. Every item on the menu was homemade, from the bread to the dessert. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, with our total bill coming in at under $100 for drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert for two people. In comparison, a recent meal at Le Papplion cost over $200 for similar items in a nearly empty restaurant. The quality and value at Camino far exceeded my expectations.
A cozy little neighborhood restaurant with owners passionate about food, great dishes and phenomenal value. This place is really a hidden gem.
This family-friendly restaurant is cozy and offers top-notch quality, service, and generous portion sizes. I would definitely return again.
It was our first time on recommandations . I did not expect such a great variety of French dishes on a name like CAMINo, Spanish? French then Spanish but it was intimate, candle lights , Owners serve you with exlplaination on what you will...get. A place for an intime dinner with a lover or close friends. Not pricey . But not right in the center of town. On the Danforth however and parking all around. I can assure you you will enjoy the food and the quiet atmosphere !
