Contribuisci feedbackGreat place! Friend staff and fun.Boxcar Social, a Toronto-based indie cafe chain, offers several notable benefits to its employees. Key among these is the provision of profit shares from the cafe's revenue. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to involve staff more directly in the business, providing them with opportunities for leadership and a say in decision-making processes. The company aims to create a space where staff can develop their leadership skills, receive mentorship in managing a location, and contribute to various aspects of the business, like programming, costing, and labor hours. This approach also aims to foster a sense of autonomy within a cooperative structure, enhancing the team's engagement with the coffee community and aligning with Boxcar Social's larger philosophical values.Vegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: YesParking: EasyKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes
Highly recommend this downtown brunch spot; it's among the best! The menu offers great variety, and the portions are generous.
Lovely locale for a fresh morning brew but I must say the espresso martini here is one of the worst I have ever had. For some reason they insist on using whisky and their own house coffee liqueur, which gave off the fresh aroma of baby puke. Disappointing for such a vibey location. Coffee is good though ?
We were here today just for coffee, and we were pleased with our drinks, and the service was great. Our major drawback about this place was the feeling that was about the place. I guess it was a younger vibe. I just felt uncomfortable, and it didn't help that I had to get assistance to enter because there were stairs. I've become quite accustomed to most places that I find online being accessible or else it's mentioned in places description. And in fact their description says they are accessible. Maybe I went to the wrong entrance. But it just got me off on the wrong foot. I use a mobility aid. So, just a heads up for others in this situation. You will find it difficult to enter from the Lower Simcoe Street sidewalk.
It was a nice place to have a coffee! I went to other location before, but did not know that they making food. We went there around 5pm, so there was not many choices for deserts, but Want to try other food as well! Recommended to visit if you are in near harbourfront!Would be much better in summer time ? will visit again in Summer time !
