Their medium roast coffee is incredibly smooth and even though I often add a bit of sugar, this is the spot where I drink it black. <br/ <br/ The interior is small, but cozy. They have a I think 4 or 5 sets of tables and chairs (1 table, 2 chairs) and a few seats along a bar-esque ledge. <br/ <br/ Their baked goods are pretty nice! I've tried their banana bread and their gluten free chocolate chip brownie so far. The bread was great, but the brownie was a bit bland (probably since gluten-free is hard to do). I wasn't too keen on their non-GF options, so I opted for the double chocolate brownie. Now I know for next time!<br/ <br/ Their patio outside features a bunch of muskoka chairs placed in two rows facing one another. They're popular throughout the summer and on more mild days throughout the year. <br/ <br/ I keep coming back here to read, but one of the downsides of its popularity and small location is that seating can sometimes be really tricky. There's not much to do about it, but just be aware if you pop by to sit down, you may not be able to grab the best seat in the house! There are usually bar rail-style seats available, so you're not entirely out of luck most times.
Consistency. Whether it was the owner or any of his employees, they all made my latte to the exact same taste. Sadly, I don't live in the area anymore.
The Meeting Place for Riverdalians and the like. Broadview Espresso really is a community meeting place. It serves as a place to meet with your friend(s) over coffee, yes, but it also serves as an art gallery, a music venue, and a great place to connect with your neighbours.<br/ <br/ If you're not from the area, however, don't hesitate to try their coffee, chai, and teas! I also really love the gluten-free orange muffins they have in regularly. Those make my day.
I loved this place!! Great decor, very friendly and unpretentious staff and most importantly great coffee. It's refreshing not to feel like you are walking on eggshells or not hipster enough while getting your coffee.
I always look forward to visit and eat their ginger cookie every wintertime.
