I wanted to leave a review here because I believe that small establishments like this one do not receive the recognition they deserve.
I have visited this restaurant 5 times and always order the ribeye, so I did the same last night. We arrived a little late, but the restaurant was packed and bustling.
The place is cosy, the service very nice and the meat beyond expectations. highly recommended. much better then any fancy steak house you would go to and much cheaper bonne continuation !!
We discovered this place by chance. We went to Union restaurant on Ossington (another great place) but the kitchen didn't open for another 40 minutes (6:00pm). They suggested Côte de Boeuf. It's a butcher shop that has limited seating and a small menu. We ordered the meat and cheese platter and red wine. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed we were. Every morsel so good! Then we ordered a pork chop and braised back ribs. Both were outstanding! The ribs melted in your mouth and had this unique smoked flavour. I cannot stop thinking about this meal. To top it off we had chocolate mouse for two. Delicious! And the server was great! The staff was truly very nice and knowledgable. They seemed to have a passion for good food as well. This place is not to be missed for foodies!
