The portion sizes could definitely be more generous for the price, especially when compared to other nearby restaurants that offer similar or better quality food with larger portions at a lower price. I would be willing to pay more if the food stood out from other North Indian restaurants, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I assume they have their own group of loyal customers. Good luck to them!
I ordered a half tandoori chicken which was delicious. The spices were perfect and the chicken was cooked just right. It came with beet salad, lemon wedges, and chutney, and I would give it a 5/5 rating. The Butter Chicken was not spicy, making it a good option for those who don't like spicy food. The chicken was tender and the curry was tomato-based and tasty. The portion size was larger than most Indian restaurants and I would also rate it a 5/5. The Veggie Biryani was okay, but the rice was clumpy and the carrots were not appealing. It came with a small side of Raita and I would give it a 3/5 rating. The Lamb Kabobs were flavorful but slightly overcooked. They were served with delicious chutneys and I would rate them a 4/5. The Naan was very tasty and I would give it a 5/5 rating. The complimentary papadums were crispy and also deserving of a 5/5 rating. Just a note, the prices online were inaccurate and were actually $3-$4 more in person. Overall, I would definitely go back as the interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Our bill, including tax and tip, came to $95 for four people.
During our first visit, we enjoyed the butter chicken, naan, spinach, and paneer. I can't recall what we had during our second visit. On our third visit with friends, we were blown away by the delicious garlic and butter naans, fantastic tandoori fish, and phenomenal lamb chops (the most tender and flavorful I have ever had).
Fantastic food and service. Food was great (especially the lamb vindaloo) not crazy spicy. but excellent. Best of all, unlike many local Indian spots, it was oily. The folks who work there were polite and patient. I highly recommend Cumin Kitchen
Absolutely loved the food and the service and atmosphere at this restaurant!! The naan is phenomenal. I was skeptical that the Tandoor Salmon might be dry but it was moist and flavorful with subtle flavors that allowed the Salmon to shine. The Aloo Ghobi was not mushi like you would typically find at other restaurants. Our server Pramisha was so cordial and attentive. They really impressed.
